Becoming a Canvas observer allows families to learn about what is happening at school! Once you become an observer, you can see students' assignments, calendars, grades, announcements, and any other information from the class. To set yourself up as an observer follow these steps:

Web Browser:

1. Using a web browser, go to jenks.instructure.com.

2. Click on “ Parents and Out of District Students.”

3. Click on "Parent of Canvas User?"

4. Enter the required information, including a pairing code.

Mobile App:

1. Search for "Canvas Parent" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (Blue Canvas Logo)

2. Click on "Create Account"

3. Enter the required information, including a pairing code.

How do I get a pairing code?

1. Have your student open Canvas, select Account, then choose Settings.

2. Select Pair with Observer from the sidebar of the settings page.

3. You will use this code to finish setting up your observer account.
