Josh Rogers, in his 4th year at JEI and now the in-house supervisor, has made a positive impact on students, excelling at building strong relationships. He says his favorite part of working at JEI is the incredible staff and students who make every day rewarding.
Venus McMahan, a 2nd-year paraprofessional at JEI, says her favorite part of the job is the students. "They inspire me daily. Building strong relationships with them and helping set them up for success is my purpose. I'm grateful to positively impact their lives."
Sarah Miller, 6th grade Science and Social Studies teacher, has been at JEI for 12 years. She loves the strong sense of community and enjoys working alongside teachers who are passionate about their careers and dedicated to providing the best for students every day.
Tonda Davis is an Essentials teacher in her first year at JEI. She describes her favorite part of working here as the incredible support from the staff and the strong sense of being valued within the team.
Andrew Reyna, Special Ed. Teacher and JEI’s Safety Committee Chair, has dedicated eight years to students at JEI. He values their unique stage—mature enough for independence yet still holding onto childhood. His passion for their growth and safety shines through every day.
Jenny Handzlik, our dedicated Special Education Coordinator, has been a valued member of the JEI team for an impressive 10 years. She truly loves her work here, citing the supportive and caring atmosphere created by her colleagues as the reason it feels like family.
Assistant Principal Taylor (left) Site Principal Thomas (right) Mrs. Thomas and Ms. Taylor are both Jenks Lifers. Mrs. Thomas has been at JEI for 18 years and Ms. Taylor for 9 years. They both love JEI and say they enjoy connecting with the students, staff, and families.
☆Mrs. Kelley is this year's Vision of Excellence Award winner. She has taught at JEI for 8 years. When asked her favorite thing about working at JEI, Mrs. Kelley said "The people! We have the best students and staff in the whole world!"☆
