academic all state

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announce that six Jenks High School seniors have been given the distinction of Academic All-State Scholar by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. Only 100 seniors statewide are given this distinction and it is a very competitive process. We believe that this is the most Jenks has ever had and the most of any school in the state this year.

In order to even be qualified to apply, a senior must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • composite ACT score of at least 30

  • combined SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math score of at least 1370

  • be a semi-finalist in either the National Merit Scholarship Program, National Achievement Scholarship Program, or National Hispanic Scholar Awards Program

In addition to these minimum criteria, students are also evaluated on the basis of their leadership abilities, motivation, academic achievement and character as maximized within each student's learning environment.
