Tell us about your educational background.
I am a Jenks High School Graduate, received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at the University of Oklahoma, and received a masters in School Administration from Northeastern State University.
What inspired you to become a principal?
I always wanted to be an elementary teacher and as I gained experience in the classroom, I became passionate about student growth within my classroom, but also gained an appreciation and passion for connecting with families and meeting the needs of our diverse community. My parents were excellent examples of people who were active members in their community, spreading joy and kindness to make our community a better place. My parents' dedication to their community inspired me to serve my community as an educator.
What do you enjoy most about your job and/or Jenks Northwest?
This is easy! I enjoy the people at Northwest! The students, the families, and our staff make Northwest a special place. Building relationships with the people of our NWE community Is what I most enjoy about my job.
