The Master Gardeners came to Mrs. Fleming's 2nd grade class last week to share their knowledge about worms. Students got to hold them, look at their intestines using a flashlight under the petri dish, and determine if each one was or was not an adult worm. 🪱Fun Fact: Worms don't have noses but breathe through their skin. That's why they have to stay moist all the time!

A big shout out to our JPS Facilities Management department for clearing the remaining snow on our playground! Our students and staff are extremely grateful!

A big THANK YOU to the students and teachers from the Jenks High School International Scholars Program for taking the time to present cultural dances from Southeast Asia to our Northwest 1st-4th graders! Our students loved your performance!

Today was "snow" much fun at Northwest Elementary! Reminder, no school tomorrow, January 10th. Enjoy your snow day, Trojans! ❄️☃️❄️
