This Fall, Trojan Treats returned to JWI with a new companion... Trojan Brew!
Trojan Treats is led by Mrs. Whiteley's classes. This year, they started off by creating a staff interest survey. Students were able to review the data and make decisions on what to purchase for staff to choose from. Staff pre-order their treats using a form online. Students then pull the information and begin filling the orders accordingly. Trojan Treats is available on Wednesday afternoons for all staff members.
Trojan Brew is led by students from Mr. Locklear’s, Ms. Thomas’, and Mrs. Miller's classes. The students take staff breakfast & coffee orders, deliver the orders, and collect the money. Staff get the options of cold brew, hot coffee, or tea. Trojan Brew is available on Fridays for all staff members.
Trojan Brew and Trojan Treats is a great project that boosts staff morale and reinforces important skills for students. Preparing all Trojans to be future ready is our goal. Portrait of a Graduate skills incorporated with the coffee shop experience include; becoming a problem solver, collaboration, and building effective communication.
A special thank you to all of the staff members who help make these projects possible. Your commitment to preparing our Trojans to be future ready is noticed!
