Intra-District Transfers

Intra-district transfer requests shall include an enrollment preference. The District shall reserve capacity for the following: 

  1. students who reside in the Jenks Public Schools’ attendance zones within the District’s boundary,

  2. students who attended the school site the prior school year,

  3. siblings of students who are already enrolled at the school site, 

  4. students in the custody of the Department of Human Services and living in foster care who reside in the home of another student who is granted an intra-district transfer,

  5. children of school district employees who wish to attend a different school site within the school district, and

  6. students who change residence within a school district and who wish to attend the same school site.

Reminders

  1. Transfers are contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory discipline and attendance record.

  2. Transfer requests first come, first-serve basis.

  3. If a student is approved on a transfer, that student can continue at that school site from one year to the other.

  4. Once a student is approved on a transfer, applications do not have to be renewed each year. If a student wants the opportunity to attend another school site in the district, a transfer application will be needed to change schools.

  5. Parents must provide transportation.

  6. Transfer decisions are final, there are no appeals for Intra-District transfers.

Intra-District Transfers for 2025-2026

  • Requests for Intra-District Transfers for the 2025-26 school year is now open for current students.

  • Students who are new to the district and completed the enrollment process for 25-26 school year will have the opportunity to apply.

  • Once enrollment is finished the parent will receive an email with the student ID# on it, the student will then be assigned a state testing number. This number is needed to complete the transfer application. Contact your child's school for assistance with the testing number.
