Thank a school counselor this week! We are so grateful to our incredible JPS counselors for all they do to enrich and enhance the educational experience for our students. These professionals are teaching character traits, tackling challenges alongside teachers and staff, and providing unmatched care and compassion for all students. Our schools wouldn't be the same without them! #NationalSchoolCounselingWeek

"What began as a conversation between students and teachers about how to problem solve and truly make a difference at West Intermediate turned into 6th graders taking action. It was there that the Trojan Care Closet was born. Students imagined a place where anyone, student or teacher, could go to find essential clothing items to fit each season. All school sites will be closed, and all students will stay home to participate in distance learning. All Community Education programs are canceled for Tuesday and the Early Childhood Center will be closed. All activities and athletic events scheduled for Tuesday are canceled. Students in grades 3-12 can access assignments via Canvas. No decisions have been made for Wednesday. District leaders will continue to monitor the latest forecasts and assess road conditions.
