Thank you, Parent Child Center, for helping our students strengthen these skills and giving them a good giggle!

Trevor is a teacher who has traveled the world sharing his insights on how to connect with students, ignite curiosity, and help all learners unlock their potential. Jenks Northwest Elementary was selected as one of 50 organizations to receive a Moon Tree out of over 1,300 applications across the country by the NASA Office of STEM Engagement and USDA Forest Service. The Moon Tree was grown from a seed that flew aboard Artemis I in 2022. The seed traveled farther than any spacecraft made for humans has ever gone, traveling 270,000 miles from earth during a 25 Β½ day journey beyond the Moon and back! JNWE had a ceremony this afternoon to plant their Moon Tree in the back of the east bus oval, which soon will be the home to their new nature trail. Thank you to Northwest Elementary STEM teacher Lori Janzen, facilities management, and all who had a hand in making this a reality. We are over the MOON! What an honor, JNWE!

On your mark...get set...GO!
Jenks West Elementary staff put on their running shoes and their best inflatable costume to race each other this afternoon! Nothing like a little run for fun on the last day of school!
Let the last day of school festivities begin! ππ
Jenks Southeast Elementary had their last House Team assembly this morning, and it got a little messy! They revealed the winners of the last quarter and the overall winner of the year, which resulted in a teacher from the blue and purple team getting slimed! Afterward, students lined up on the track to give a fun farewell to all JSE 4th graders. What a great way to start the day, JSE!
We couldn't let the year end without recognizing the next wave of young writers! Students Jenks East Intermediate recently became published authors by participating in #NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) for the first time. With the help of Media Specialist Shelbee Chamberlin and Gifted Teacher Jamie Powers, these students wrote every word, went through an extensive editing process, and even designed the cover artwork themselves. Now these books are available for all students to check out and read in the JEI library. Nothing like seeing your hard work pay off!
Jenks High School Vocal Music had their third annual JVM Signing Day this morning. Seniors signed their autographs and celebrated their next steps in their academic careers whether or not they are pursuing a degree in the arts. Congratulations, Trojans! No matter where you go or what you do, you will always be #ForeverATrojan. πΌ
Jenks Northwest Elementary 2nd graders shopped until they dropped this morning! πππ΅ Students have been learning about money and were given *pretend* money to buy food and goods from local businesses like Chick-fil-A, Andy's Frozen Custard, Crumbl Cookies, McDonald's, Sam's Club, Raising Cane's, and Hideaway Pizza! After spending what they had budgeted, they enjoyed their treats! Great job making this hands-on experience happen, teachers!

Fourth graders at Jenks West Elementary held their annual Exhibition today and showed off their passion for solving a wide range of real-world issues. The students presented facts, findings, and solutions for topics such as poverty, hunger, bullying, animal abuse, endangered species, environmental protection, and many more! By caring and taking action, these students are working to create a better community and a better world. Nice work, Trojans!

The Jenks High School Class of 2024 came out with TWO victories tonight over the juniors! Senior girls got the W, winning the Powderpuff game 17-14. Man Cheer, yet tough to watch, managed to win by a landslide against the juniors with their halftime performance. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on our Trojans and support Jenks Cheer!
