Let us bring some cuteness to your Friday feed!
Jenks High School FFA surprised Jenks Southeast's pre-k students with an adorable barnyard visit as a hands-on learning opportunity since they are learning about farms and nutrition concepts. What a wonderful example of Trojans teaching Trojans and inspiring a love for learning! Thanks, Jenks FFA!
It looks like spooky science, but it's just an opportunity for Ms. Haase's Advanced Anatomy and Physiology class to learn about wounds and burns hands-on! Jenks High School students have been studying how wounds and burns heal, and today they applied that knowledge by creating artificial wounds to determine the stage of healing, type of healing, degree of the burn, and more!
(Just another reminded that none of these wounds are real!)
Jenks Athletics has a new look! Discover schedules, stats, eligibility information, and more by visiting jenkstrojans.org - the Home of Champions!

Students in Jenks Middle School's Health & Wellness classes partnered with Family & Children's Services to write positive messages in chalk around JMS to encourage each other, spread kindness, and raise awareness for National Suicide Prevention Month. Students also made friendship bracelets with encouraging messages to wear or trade with others. Thank you, Trojans, for sharing positivity with your classmates!
The first pep rally of the season. These Jenks High School Trojans are loud and proud! Let's BEAT UNION! 🏈 #BackyardBowl
We will never forget. 🇺🇸
Members of the Jenks High School Young Americans Foundation and Student Council honored the victims of 9/11 this morning by placing 2,977 flags for each life lost near the entrance to campus. We are so proud of these students for representing the next generation of proud Americans and preserving the legacy of the innocent lives taken on that tragic day.
This evening wrapped up the 26th annual Jenks Pom Fashion Show, and it was pure glamour! ✨ Inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany's, this event showcased timeless elegance on the runway. Thank you to all who made this an unforgettable night!💍👗🩵

We know how to make an entrance. The ribbon was cut this morning on the beautiful new arches at the south end of the Jenks High School campus. This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Short family in partnership with the Jenks Public Schools Foundation. The stunning stone and brick design was completed by our friends at LDKerns Contractors and WRA Architects, Inc.
Our first site visit of the 2024-25 school year brings us to Jenks East Intermediate! It was a good thing Dr. Butterfield wore her tennis shoes because today is JEI's Wellness Wednesday! Wellness Wednesday is when students and staff add brain breaks and extra physical activities throughout the day. Dr. Butterfield participated in Mrs. Abel's vocabulary relay race and Mrs. Kelley's fitness scavenger hunt. What a strong start to our monthly site visits! Great work, JEI!
Selfless servant. It's how you can describe all 20 of the 2024 Vision of Excellence Award winners. These JPS employees are recognized for being leaders at their site or department. They embrace and embody continuous improvement, while consistently placing the needs of their students and colleagues above their own. Nominated by peers and members of the public, VOE winners are selected by the JPS Foundation and announced at the annual Back to School Rally. Congrats to all of the 2024 winners!
We're in our Trojan era!
It was an incredible morning as all 1,700 JPS employees gathered at the Frank Herald Fieldhouse for our Eras Tour-themed Back to School Rally. Today, we celebrated together, laughed together, and inspired each other for the 2024-25 school year. And yes, that is Taylor Swift, aka Dr. Butterfield being revealed in a full sequence fit and Travis Kelce aka, coach Josh Elmer walking her off the stage.
A huge thanks to our keynote speaker, Sean Bott for encouraging and reading the minds of our employees, the Jenks Public Schools Foundation for sponsoring the t-shirts, and all community partners, food sponsors, and volunteers who made this event a success.
Make this an era to remember, Trojans!
Enjoy the 4 day weekend, Trojans! See you Tuesday!
Green grass all around, all around (and year-round)! Students at Jenks High School are enjoying the new turf, benches, berms, and shade structures – all part of the recently completed campus beautification project. Enormous thanks to Jenks Student Council and all the students who organized and donated to Jenks Dub Week for their vision and contributions in creating this incredible space! Another example of bond dollars at work and sensational partnerships with Crossland Construction Company, Inc., GSHelms & Associates Architecture, and ForeverLawn in Oklahoma. What a transformation!
Jenks Southeast Elementary 4th grader, Brogan Baker, is interested in all things fire- fire alarms, fire doors, and fire panels to name a few things. It's safe to say he is preparing to become a future firefighter! Today, he was given the opportunity to assist the Tulsa Fire Department Fire Marshall with inspections at school. What an amazing experience that Brogan will always remember! Thank you, Tulsa FD!
