Sports Medicine Aide

What is a sports medicine aide?

Sports medicine aides are 10th - 12th graders at Jenks Public Schools with an interest in sports medicine and athletic training. This course is the first step for students to learn how to turn their love for athletic medicine into a future career. Sports medicine aides will assist our athletic trainers both in the training room in the Sharp Center and on the sidelines during practices and competitive events to ensure our student-athletes are being properly monitored and well cared for.

Process for Current Jenks Public Schools Students WITH a Valid Student ID Number

Aides are selected by our athletic trainers in the Sharp Center's Sports Medicine Department. If the student in question has a current Jenks Public Schools Student ID Number, then they or their parents are welcome to contact our trainers directly via email to discuss joining the program at Sports.Medicine@jenksps.org .

Process for Students Transferring into District

If you are considering transferring into the district and do not have a JPS student ID number yet, you are not allowed to speak with our athletic staff due to OSSAA policies.

We ask that you contact the athletic department (Trojan.Athletics@jenksps.org or 918-299-4415 x2214). We will provide you with information on our manager program or set up a meeting with the athletic director if needed. You will continue going through our department staff for your athletic needs until you move into district and obtain a current student ID number. At that point, we will get you in touch with our coaches
