Student Manager

How to Become a Student Manager

What is a student manager?

Student managers are 9th - 12th graders at Jenks Public Schools with an interest in sports management. Sports management at the secondary level is the first step for students to learn how to turn their love for sports into a future career. Student managers will assist coaches and athletic department staff behind the scenes while learning what goes into major competitive events, practices, and traveling with varsity.

Students can also earn paying positions with college teams if they seek out those opportunities with the school of their choice prior to graduating from Jenks.

Process for Current Jenks Public Schools Students WITH a Valid Student ID Number

Managers are selected by our head coaching staff on Central Campus. If the student in question has a current Jenks Public Schools Student ID Number, then they or their parents are welcome to contact our head coaches directly via email to discuss becoming a student manager for the varsity team.

Process for Students Transferring into District

If you are considering transferring into the district and do not have a JPS student ID number yet, you are not allowed to speak with our coaches due to OSSAA policies on recruiting.

We ask that you contact the athletic department (Trojan.Athletics@jenksps.org or 918-299-4415 x2214). We will provide you with information on our manager program or set up a meeting with the athletic director if needed. You will continue going through our department staff for your athletic needs until you move into district and obtain a current student ID number. At that point, we will get you in touch with our coaches
