The opportunity of a lifetime. For the third year in a row, seniors at Jenks High School have received full, four-year scholarships to prestigious colleges through the QuestBridge Match Scholarship program. Ila Sous and Toluwani Ladapo are two of only 2,242 students nationwide who were selected as Match Scholarship recipients. They were also two of just four finalists in the state that matched. Through this incredible opportunity, Ila will attend University of Pensylvania and Toluwani will be heading to Colgate University in New York! Congratulations, Trojans!

Collaboration of big and little Trojans at its finest! Members of the Jenks High School Student Body Leadership went to Jenks West Elementary today to play a few competitive games of Simon Says and Heads Up Seven Up with the younger Trojans as a way to teach them leadership qualities like integrity. This past June, we shared the incredible Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night-inspired mural, including familiar landmarks from Jenks- the First Oklahoma Bank headquarters and Lighthouse painted by now sophomore at Jenks High School, Karely Renteria-Esperanza. Today, Tom Bennett, a JHS graduate and President and CEO of First Oklahoma Bank, presented Karely with a certificate of appreciation and a $150 Youth Savings Account. This mural wouldn't have been created without the support and challenge from Karely's Jenks Freshman Academy art teachers and administration. Thank you, First Oklahoma Bank! Keep up the good work, Karely!

Congrats to Jenks Pom on finishing runner...WAIT. WHAT? Correction - Jenks Pom took state! After the OSSAA determined a judging error was made during the state competition, the Trojans were named the 6A Large School State Champs! The girls were surprised, shocked, and thrilled to learn the news, and we are so proud of this achievement and all the hard work they put in to make it happen! With this championship, Jenks has now won 200 athletic state championships in school history (who's counting?)! It's over 200 if you count the fine arts and activities state titles. #homeofchampions

Creativity for a cause. Teachers and students all over Jenks High School decorated doors to finish off Red Ribbon Week with some flair! Throughout the week, students participated in events and shared reminders around the school about the importance of staying drug free. Nicely done, Trojans!

What's next for Jenks High School seniors after they step off the graduation stage in May? Today, the class of 2024 had the opportunity to prepare for college and career possibilities! Students attended the 2023 PrepYou Senior Conference at OSU-Tulsa, where they attended sessions on building a business, choosing a career, managing college financial aid, personal finance, and many more. Thanks to Mike Bausch from Andolini's Pizzeria - Jenks for inspiring our students this morning, Jenks Public Schools Foundation, and all the community partners and speakers who continue to make this event a success for our Trojans! #5AFriday #Academics

Y'all ready for Friday night? Judging by the decibel level at the pep rally today, the student body at Jenks High School can't wait to take on a suburban school to the south. Even the Superintendent went for a spin on the mechanical bull! Huge thanks to Channel 6 for presenting the Spirit Stick and to Jenks alum and Super Bowl champ, Darwin Thompson for making a special appearance. Let's go Trojans!

It was loud! It was groovy! And these Jenks High School Trojans are totally stoked for tonight's football game! The first Homecoming pep rally in the Frank Herald Fieldhouse was outstanding, and there was even a special appearance by Alex Aghajanian, President of the Tournament of Roses parade. Congratulations to all of the homecoming court members and to Eduardo Pereyra and Magnolia Crissup for being named as Homecoming royalty. 🪩👑🏈 Don’t forget to join us on A Street for the Homecoming Parade starting at 5:30! More than 70 colleges and universities were represented at the Jenks High School Dining Hall this afternoon as JHS hosted the Tulsa area's "First College Fair of the College Season." What a sensational opportunity for our students to learn, ask questions, and become more informed on what might come next in their educational journey! Thanks to our terrific counselors for making this happen and thanks to all college reps for being here today!
