Today, the entire senior class had the opportunity to hear from business leaders and industry professionals to help prepare for college and career possibilities at our PrepYou Senior Conference at OSU-Tulsa. Big thanks to Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell for inspiring our seniors, to Senator Dave Rader for showing up to support our future leaders, and to all of our presenters, organizers, and the Jenks Public Schools Foundation! What an incredible and serendipitous moment! Today, while in Mrs. Suttons class, Din Dai was recognized as one of the September Seniors of the Month. In full circle, Mrs. Sutton pulled out her Senior of the Month award from exactly 20 years ago! Truly, a Tradition of Excellence.
We know how to make an entrance. The ribbon was cut this morning on the beautiful new arches at the south end of the Jenks High School campus. This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Short family in partnership with the Jenks Public Schools Foundation. The stunning stone and brick design was completed by our friends at LDKerns Contractors and WRA Architects, Inc.
Green grass all around, all around (and year-round)! Students at Jenks High School are enjoying the new turf, benches, berms, and shade structures – all part of the recently completed campus beautification project. Enormous thanks to Jenks Student Council and all the students who organized and donated to Jenks Dub Week for their vision and contributions in creating this incredible space! Another example of bond dollars at work and sensational partnerships with Crossland Construction Company, Inc., GSHelms & Associates Architecture, and ForeverLawn in Oklahoma. What a transformation!

Also, check your primary email address for an email from "no-reply@stopfinder.com" to activate your subscription to the Stopfinder app which will allow you to track your student's bus, receive notifications when the bus is nearby, and send messages directly to the JPS Transportation Department. Jenks High School Vocal Music had their third annual JVM Signing Day this morning. The Jenks High School Class of 2024 came out with TWO victories tonight over the juniors! Senior girls got the W, winning the Powderpuff game 17-14. Man Cheer, yet tough to watch, managed to win by a landslide against the juniors with their halftime performance. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on our Trojans and support Jenks Cheer!
She's in the top 0.2% in the nation. That's the incredibly rare distinction Abbey Boughner earned when she scored a perfect 36 on the ACT last month. A junior at Jenks High School and a Jenks lifer, Abbey aced the exam on her first try. Congrats, Abbey! Sit back and watch those scholarship offers roll in!
The accolades and championships keep rolling in for the students at Jenks High School! The JHS Odyssey of the Mind team captured the 2024 state title at the Oklahoma Odyssey of the Mind competition and will attend the World Finals competition at Iowa State University from May 20-25. Members of the team are: Cecelia Rickman, Eva Mahajan, Ben McCullough, Din Dai, Nitya Ponnam, Roman Miller, and Samantha Kotas. Congrats and good luck at Worlds!
